    Who it is for

For professionals who manage many stakeholders at once — project and programme managers, change leads, senior professionals who communicate with directors, executives, or boards, and consultants managing complex client relationships. If your ability to get things done depends on people who do not report to you, and you are already comfortable using AI for everyday drafting and summarising, this course is for you.

What you will be able to do

    • Build and maintain an AI-assisted stakeholder map for a live project or initiative — capturing each stakeholder's priorities, influence level, current stance, and relationship history — instead of holding it all in your head.

    • Draft stakeholder communications that are calibrated to the audience, from operational teams to executive sponsors to boards, so the same update lands correctly at every level.

    • Prepare for upward and executive interactions with a clear recommendation and anticipated objections already worked out, so a busy decision-maker can act in three minutes.

    • Apply PRISM prompting and TRUST evaluation across the full communication cycle — research, drafting, review, and adaptation — so what AI produces is accurate, specific, and safe to send.

    • Diagnose and respond to resistant, disengaged, or difficult stakeholders using AI for analysis and drafting, while keeping the final relational judgement in human hands.

    • Design and sustain an AI-assisted engagement plan across a complex, multi-party programme, with a listening layer that keeps you ahead of shifting stakeholder sentiment.

    • Embed AI systematically as a preparation and drafting tool in your stakeholder practice — and run the AI Safety Checklist before any sensitive or board-restricted content goes near an AI tool.

    The curriculum

Module by module, in the order they are assigned.

    The Stakeholder Intelligence Layer

The Stakeholder Intelligence Layer shows how AI structures relationship work when projects depend on people who do not report to you. By the end, you can turn a list into a map, classify stakeholders by Power, Interest, Influence, and Stance, and use the AI Opportunity Matrix.

    Communication That Lands

Communication That Lands turns a single stakeholder update into calibrated messages, because clinical teams, managers, directors, and boards read the same fact for different jobs. By the end, you can place an audience on the Audience Spectrum, draft with PRISM, and review AI-drafted communication with TRUST before it leaves your outbox.

    Managing Up

Managing up focuses on serving executive and board decisions under overload: answer the four silent questions, lead with outcomes, and protect sensitive content before using AI. By the end, you can draft one-page briefs with PRISM, review with TRUST, rehearse hard questions, use RAG honestly, and run the AI Safety Checklist.

    Influence and Difficult Stakeholders

Influence across departments starts where formal authority stops, so this module focuses on relevance, sequencing, and careful preparation. By the end, you can map interests, frame aligned proposals, read difficult stakeholder patterns, draft hard messages, escalate cleanly, and protect sensitive information.

Engagement at Scale and the Listening Layer

Engagement at scale turns many stakeholder relationships into a maintainable system, then adds a listening layer so plans reflect real signals, not only outgoing messages. By the end, you can draft a six-question plan, maintain a communication matrix, synthesise feedback with AI, check it with TRUST, and adapt safely.

Long-Term Relationships and Your 30-Day Plan

Long-term relationship maintenance matters because transactional contact can deliver projects while trust resets in quiet gaps, forcing senior professionals to re-earn cooperation. By the end, you keep stakeholder intelligence current with AI, create no-ask touchpoints, review where AI earns its place, and commit to one live project.

    Assessment and certificate

The course closes with a timed final exam with a pass mark and a limited number of attempts. A pass issues a PDF certificate with its own serial, in the name of the Straits Institute for Applied AI. Cohort progress, at-risk learners and a CSV export are in the admin console throughout.

    About this course

Do I need to be technical or an AI expert to take this course?

No. You should be comfortable using AI tools for everyday tasks such as drafting and summarising — that is the only prerequisite. Every framework used here (PRISM, TRUST, the AI Opportunity Matrix, the AI Safety Checklist) is introduced in context as it appears. If AI is genuinely new to you, take AI+ for Everyone (T1-01) first for the full foundation.

Will AI replace my professional judgement or my relationships?

No. Throughout the course AI is a preparation and drafting tool, not a decision-maker. Political and relational judgement — reading the room, deciding what to disclose, owning the relationship — is explicitly the work that must not be delegated. AI gives your existing skill a systematic infrastructure; it does not replace it.

Is it safe to put confidential stakeholder information into AI tools?

The course teaches the AI Safety Checklist, which you run before any sensitive, personnel-related, or board-restricted content goes anywhere near an AI tool. You learn where AI genuinely adds value and where the information should never leave the room.

How long does the course take, and how is it structured?

Six modules of about 60 minutes each — roughly six hours in total. Each module follows a watch, then try, then practice rhythm, so you apply every technique to your own stakeholder work as you go.

Which AI tools do I need, and does it matter which one I use?

The course is tool-agnostic. The techniques work with any mainstream AI assistant (tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and Gemini are named only as examples of categories). You can follow along with whatever your organisation already provides.

I already manage stakeholders well — what will this add?

Stakeholder management is one of the most consequential professional skills and one of the least systematised. This course keeps your hard-won expertise and adds an AI-supported system around it — for faster research, audience-tailored drafting, upward briefs, and engagement at a scale that no longer fits in your head.
