    • Design a 30-day AI adoption plan and demonstrate measurable improvement in at least three routine TVET tasks — one each in curriculum planning, practical assessment, and industry engagement

    AI in TVET: Foundations and the BENCH Framework

    This foundation maps AI to the real pressures of TVET instruction: policy expectations, paperwork, trade judgement, learner safety, and the dual competence of teacher and tradesperson. By the end, you can use BENCH and the TVET Task-AI Map to decide where AI helps, where it needs verification, and where it has no role.

    Prompting AI for TVET Tasks (PRISM + TRUST)

    Prompting AI for TVET tasks centres on specificity: PRISM loads requests with trade context, learner level, standards and format, while TRUST protects delivery, assessment and employer work from fluent but unverified drafts. By the end, you adapt toolkit prompts, evaluate outputs, and iterate with trade expertise before use.

    AI for Curriculum and Workshop Design

    AI-assisted curriculum and workshop design tackles the rolling TVET prep behind standards, unit plans, practical sessions, safety documents, guides, and troubleshooting. By the end, you can brief AI with trade context, verify against standards, kit, regulations, and learner behaviour, then sign off with judgement.

    AI for Competency-Based Assessment

    AI-assisted competency-based assessment helps TVET instructors prove practical competence while reducing the paperwork around checklists, questioning banks, portfolio guides, feedback, and moderation. You can draft assessment documentation with AI, verify it with TRUST, and keep every competence decision under human judgement.

    Industry Engagement and AI Safety (HANDS)

    Industry engagement and AI safety connect placement documentation, employer communication, labour-market intelligence, and the guardrails TVET instructors need for learner records and employer confidences. By the end, you can draft and verify placement documents, run HANDS and GUARD, classify data, and create a one-page team policy.

    Dual Professional Currency and Your 30-Day Plan

    TVET instructors carry dual professional currency: teaching practice and trade competence both need active upkeep while administration squeezes the time available. By the end, learners can use AI to prepare and document CPD, choose safe starter tasks, and run a BENCH-based 30-Day Starter that makes AI routine.

    Assessment and certificate

    The course closes with a timed final exam with a pass mark and a limited number of attempts. A pass issues a PDF certificate with its own serial, in the name of the Straits Institute for Applied AI. Cohort progress, at-risk learners and a CSV export are in the admin console throughout.
