    Who it is for

HR professionals across generalist and specialist roles — HR managers, business partners, talent acquisition specialists, L&D professionals, HR directors, people operations leads, and coordinators — in organisations of any size and sector, whether AI is new to your practice or already part of it.

What you will be able to do

    • See where AI fits across the full employee lifecycle — recruitment, onboarding, development, administration, and compliance — rather than in one isolated corner of HR.

    • Apply the PRISM Prompting Framework to core HR tasks and get output you would put in front of a candidate, an employee, or a leadership team.

    • Check AI-generated HR content for accuracy, fairness, and legal soundness with the TRUST Framework before it goes anywhere near a decision.

    • Protect employee data and manage bias risk deliberately, using the HR AI Safety Protocol.

    • Build a structured plan for integrating AI into your HR practice systematically rather than tool by tool.

    • Keep the judgement calls that must stay human clearly separated from the drafting and analysis AI can carry.

    The curriculum

Module by module, in the order they are assigned.

    AI Foundations for HR

AI Foundations for HR draws the line between AI-assisted production and accountable people judgement across the employee lifecycle, so capacity does not replace responsibility. You can map tasks, sort work as Strong, Careful-review, or Human-only, name the three failure modes, and locate current practice on the HR AI Readiness Spectrum.

Prompting AI as an HR Professional

Prompting AI as an HR professional means giving clear briefs and reviewing outputs with care, because HR drafts affect candidates, employees, managers, and leaders. By the end, learners can use PRISM for common lifecycle tasks, iterate as thought partners, and apply TRUST before anything reaches people.

    AI for Recruitment and Onboarding

Recruitment and onboarding carry heavy drafting volume, public scrutiny, and human signals that affect fairness, trust, and belonging for candidates and new colleagues. You can brief AI with PRISM, filter outputs with TRUST, protect non-negotiable hiring decisions, and turn onboarding structure into a more personal welcome.

AI for Development, Performance and Engagement

Development, performance, engagement, and communication are the steady HR systems where preparation can crowd out judgement, coaching, and trust. Learners leave able to place AI on safe drafting and analysis tasks, review outputs for fairness and quality, protect employee data, and keep the human work with HR and managers.

AI for HR Administration, Compliance and Ethics

AI-supported HR administration can reduce policy, contract, reporting, query and compliance workload only when review effort matches employee-rights risk. By the end, you apply Scale Effort to Stakes, run the HR AI Safety Protocol, classify data Red/Amber/Green, test for bias, and explain defensible AI use.

Your 30-Day HR AI Adoption Plan

Safe AI practice becomes a starter adoption plan for HR professionals who need results inside busy recruitment, development, engagement and reporting work. By the end, you can choose low-risk quick wins, pair each with PRISM, TRUST and the HR AI Safety Protocol, record measurable milestones, and decide where reclaimed effort belongs.

    Assessment and certificate

The course closes with a timed final exam with a pass mark and a limited number of attempts. A pass issues a PDF certificate with its own serial, in the name of the Straits Institute for Applied AI. Cohort progress, at-risk learners and a CSV export are in the admin console throughout.

    About this course

Do I need prior AI experience for this course?

No. It is written for HR professionals whether AI is entirely new to your practice or you have been experimenting for a while. The frameworks are taught from the ground up.

Is this only relevant to large HR teams?

No. It is written for organisations of 50 employees or 50,000, across private sector, public sector, and not-for-profit, and for generalist and specialist roles alike.

Is it safe to use AI with employee data?

Only with deliberate controls, which is why the HR AI Safety Protocol is a core part of the course. It covers what must never enter a prompt, how to handle personal and sensitive employee information, and where the risk actually sits.

Won't AI introduce bias into recruitment and performance decisions?

It can, and the course treats bias risk as a first-order concern rather than a footnote. You learn to evaluate AI-generated content for fairness and legal soundness before it influences any decision about a person.

Which parts of HR work should stay human?

The course draws that line explicitly. AI supports drafting, structuring, and analysis; the decisions about people, and accountability for them, stay with the HR professional.

How do I move from experimenting to using AI consistently?

The final part of the course builds a structured integration plan for your own practice, so AI use becomes systematic across the lifecycle rather than occasional and ad hoc.

Put this in front of a team.

Course libraries are assigned per user, team or department, and the reporting comes back to whoever has to answer for the programme. Tell us who needs it and we will show you the console.
